The Internet brought a new world for the business of Sex: Content, ecommerce, dating & communities, etc. where consumers have been finding ways to make the most of technology for pleasure: the use of webcams, facetime, snapchat,... now the Sex industry could start making the most of phygital trends to tap into develop new products that facilitate new experiences for different needs and situations.
I found these 2 examples that merge technology and information systems to products in order to deliver synchronized pleasure experiences. Adding a shared control and connection to it.
Durex is "making underwear more sexually playful" and Klic-Klic is "making sex toys more playful".
It has a big potential for relevancy, from sex roulette explorers to long distance relationship, fwb or any other human interaction...These new arenas may open a door for developing new digital networks of pleasure or let the current more explicit dating sites to adopt these innovations as a service to add new consumer value.
Always fun and good to see how technology adds value to a experience in different ways although in this case and thanks god, nothing can beat the skin to skin experience :)
